Qigong for Vitality – Thursday morning
In this 13-week series participants will explore Qigong foundations and enrichment for increasing vitality and nourishing health. You will learn The Taoist Health Preservation Exercises of the Huashan Mountain School as described by Dr Bian Zhizhong. This set of practices will invite the integration of the basic Qigong alignment – of Body, Mind, Breath, Qi, and Shen – as well as the cultivation of Chansijin – the smooth, spiralling, unbroken, and continuous flow that is foundational in the Chinese Internal Arts. The Taoist Health Preservation Exercises are very good at this time of year – in the Autumn and Winter when the energy is gathering inward and consolidating. These practices will allow us to synchronize with the season in order to harmonize and increase our vital energy.
This series is open to all levels – it will be welcoming for those just beginning Qigong practice and will have deeper layers for those who are looking to attune to more refined layers of connection in their practice.
This class also occurs on Tuesday Evenings at 6pm. Space is limited to 11 people in both classes.
