Cheetah Practice
Long-inspired by Big Cats, Claire is looking forward to sharing this iteration of Dance Classes focused on honing aliveness and readiness, à la Cheetah. This is a dance class for EVERYONE. Especially those who are curious and committed to responsiveness and liveliness in their moving bodies.
Train AGILITY & ADAPTABILITY. Become skilled at moving into and up from the floor, at changing levels and varying orientation. We will train these abilities through diligent study and rapport-building with the systems of our body that support such potential. Your body holds the key and your design reveals your readiness.
Join if you wish to improve your ability to go up, down, between, and across space with integrated harmony and grace. Get to know your body in motion. Train agility through awareness. Develop your relationship with kinetic energy and enliven your kinesthetic sense.
Drawing from anatomy, biomechanics, and physics, we will explore what it means to practice responsiveness for longevity in our moving lives. The Axis Syllabus© will serve as a primary tool for developing our understanding of our moving parts.
Claire has been teaching dance since 2010. She is a Certified Teacher of the Axis Syllabus© as well as a member of the team assessing candidates for certification. She is dedicated to ongoing enrichment of approaches in movement pedagogy and passionate in helping empower folks to become more informed and inquisitive movers.
